The SHIBUYA SKY roof at sunset, with visitors on the deck and the sun over Tokyo

SHIBUYA SKY daytime adult ticket

Adult entry to the SHIBUYA SKY roof in a 20-minute window of your choice between 10:00 and 14:40.

The daytime ticket admits one visitor aged 12 or over to SHIBUYA SKY on one date, in one 20-minute entry window that starts between 10:00 and 14:40. It is the deck's lower-priced adult band, and once you are in you can stay as long as you like.

What the daytime ticket covers

Entry through the 14th-floor gate in your window, then the Sky Gate climb: a darkened hall and a lift that plays moving images on its ceiling as it rises to the 45th floor.

The Sky Gallery on the 46th floor, an indoor corridor of floor-to-ceiling glass, and the Sky Stage roof above it, with the Sky Edge corner, the Cloud Hammock, the Geo Compass and the helipad lawn.

No time limit once inside. A daytime ticket lets you stay on through the afternoon and into the sunset if you are prepared to wait for it, though you cannot leave and come back.

On the day

Go to the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square, above Shibuya Station, by the SHIBUYA SKY lift on the outside of the building at street level. Show the QR code on your phone at the gate inside your 20-minute window.

Before the roof, put bags, hats, tripods, selfie sticks, earphones and any food or drink into a locker on 46. Your phone and a strapped or pocket-sized camera come with you.

Late morning and midday light is hard and bright, and on the clearest days, particularly in the colder months, the long views reach Mount Fuji in the west.

Who it is not for

If the sunset is the reason you are going, this is the wrong ticket: entry before 15:00 can mean a long wait on an exposed roof for the light to change. Take the Sunset fare instead.

It is also not for children aged 11 and under, whose tickets the deck sells only at its counter on the day. Book this ticket for each visitor aged 12 and over.

Frequently asked

Can I stay for the sunset on a daytime ticket?
Yes. There is no time limit once you are in, so you can stay. Just remember there is no re-entry if you leave.
Is the morning view clearer?
Often, especially in the colder months, when the air is drier. Haze builds in summer and can hide Mount Fuji.
